PROJECTS
No Way José Latin Band, Brisbane — Co-manager and Lead Singer
January 2021 - PRESENT
Lead singer in active multi-format salsa and bolero band. Activities include:
Monthly residency at Monte Lane Bar, Ipswich
Christmas at Nicholas St, Ipswich City Council
Ipswich Spark Festival, Mainstage - 2023 and 2023
SEQ Tour through Red Chair in 2023, funded by Arts Qld
Frequent performer at City Sounds, BCC
Afro-Cuban Ensemble, QLD Conservatorium of Music - Singer
March 2024 - ongoing
Run by Dr Chris Stover, entry by audition. Singing bilingually, and contributing to arrangements. Workshops focused on Afro-Cuban percussion and folk music styles, including basic Conga and Batá training, and vocal improvisation.
Brazilian ensemble, Qld Conservatorium of Music — Lead singer
March 2023 - November 2023
Run by Kym Ambrose. Repertoire focused on Brazilian Bossa Nova and Samba styles, and key skills development focused on improvisation, Portuguese language practice, and faithfulness to stylistic traditions.

February 2022 - ongoing
Entry via audition. Studies focused on vocal technique, improvisation and arranging music.
ADVOCACY
The Office of Stephen Bates MP, Brisbane — Constituent and community advocate
August 2023 - ongoing (part time)
Advocacy provided to Brisbane electorate constituents on behalf of the Federal Member, in the areas of local development, social services, immigration and NDIS. Working closely with individual constituents, community advocacy organizations, and liaising with relevant government departments.
University of Queensland, Brisbane — Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies, Spanish and French
2014 - 2019
Studies focused on conflict analysis, resolution and mediation, peacebuilding, Indigenous politics and policy and international development studies.
